Analysis of Inner Flow in a Multi-Stage Double-Suction Centrifugal Pump Using the Detached Eddy Simulation Method

چکیده

In order to analyze the inner flow in a multi-stage double-suction centrifugal pump, which is regarded as common way of knowing current characteristics pump and basis optimization for better performance, numerical simulation considering velocity field distribution pressure fluctuation propagation law using detached eddy method was conducted. Additionally, principle entropy generation put use quantify compare energy loss different components. The results reveal that existence unstable structures first-stage impeller large number vortical back-channel result reduced operational efficiency pump. Furthermore, intensity reaches its maximum with 0.15 at blade trailing edge, propagates tongue region forward channel double-volute under low rates condition. main frequency monitoring points inter-stage volute basically located 198.667 Hz, twice frequency. Consequently, wall production accounting nearly 25% cannot be ignored mainly occurs due occurrence irregular above components more than 50%. outcomes this research present valuable point reference structural design multistage turbomachines various applications.
